SIAM – KING CHULALONGKORN SURCHARGES – COLLECTION PART 4
Interesting specialized group of 16 unused Siam stamps from the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), including a varied selection of provisional surcharge and overprint issues.
The collection includes different English and Siamese surcharge types, with denominations including 1 Att, 2 Atts, 4 Atts and 10 Atts, together with additional King Chulalongkorn stamps from the later issue.
Several different surcharge settings and types are represented, making this an interesting group for the specialist collector.
The stamps were carefully arranged according to the Michel catalogue by the previous collector.
Specialist note:
The early Siam provisional surcharge issues are a highly specialized collecting field with numerous surcharge types, settings and varieties. The individual varieties have not been expertized and the stamps are therefore offered exactly as shown for specialist examination.
Condition:
Unused / mint. Several stamps are MNH with original gum; most of the others have original gum with a light first hinge. Some stamps show hinge remnants, gum toning or other age-related traces as visible on the reverse scan.
