SIAM – KING CHULALONGKORN USED STAMP COLLECTION – PART 6
Interesting specialized collection of 28 used classic Siam stamps from the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V).
The collection includes early King Chulalongkorn issues, a range of denominations from the classic "SIAM POSTAGE & REVENUE" series including higher values, and an interesting selection of provisional surcharge and overprint issues.
The surcharge group includes different types and denominations such as 1 Att, 2 Atts, 3 Atts and 4 Atts. A variety of cancellations and postmarks is also represented, including several Bangkok cancellations.
The stamps were carefully arranged according to the Michel catalogue by the previous collector.
Specialist note:
The early Siam surcharge and provisional issues are a highly specialized collecting field with numerous types, settings and varieties. The individual surcharge and cancellation varieties have not been expertized and the stamps are therefore offered exactly as shown for specialist examination.
Condition:
Used. Good condition overall, with normal age and postal traces. Please note the individual perforations, centering and cancellations as shown.
This is Part 6 of a large old-time collection of Siam stamps and the first part of the used section. The earlier Parts 1–5 contain the unused / mint section of the same collection.
