1:400 ScaleLengthWidthBoeing 767-222ER, construction number 22355, was delivered to United Airlines as N609UA in 1984 as part of the airline\'s introduction of the 767 widebody fleet. The aircraft operated domestic and transcontinental U.S. routes, as well as select long-haul international services, offering improved fuel efficiency and passenger comfort compared with older widebody types. N609UA featured a two-class cabin layout with business and economy seating and wore United\'s classic 1980s livery. Powered by Pratt & Whitney JT9D engines, the 767-200ER provided extended range and reliable performance. After years of service, N609UA was retired as United upgraded to newer 767 and 777 aircraft.
Boeing 767-200ER Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747.
