Vintage combination square/machinist measuring tool set with a 12-inch hardened rule.The ruler is marked “THE L.S.S. CO., ATHOL, MASS. U.S.A.”, along with “HARDENED” and “No. 4.” Based on those markings, my best understanding is that the ruler was made by The L.S. Starrett Company. The identification of the complete set and its individual components is based on the visible markings and my best research, so please review all photos carefully for yourself.The set includes the 12-inch ruler, combination square head, and center-finder style head shown in the photos.Pre-owned vintage condition with expected signs of age and use, including surface wear, discoloration, scratches, and patina.I gently cleaned the pieces in warm soapy water, dried them completely, and then lightly wiped them with WD-40 afterward.I also unscrewed the adjustment/locking knobs and was able to screw it back on successfully, so that mechanism does appear to be functioning. I have not professionally tested the tool for accuracy, calibration, completeness, or full functionality.Approximate measurements:* Rule: 12 inches long
