Up for sale is an early vintage 4-piece machinist combination square set manufactured by The L.S. Starrett Company (Athol, Mass., USA). Stamped with the desirable early \"THE L.S.S. CO.\" maker mark on the rule blade.
This is a complete 4-piece set including the 12-inch hardened steel rule, square head, center head, and reversible protractor head.
Included Components & Condition Details:
12\" Steel Rule / Blade: Stamped \"The L.S.S. Co. Athol Mass. U.S.A.\" Features standard machinist graduations and center clamping groove. Straight with normal light surface patina.
Square Head (Try & Miter): Features original black japanning/finish with light cosmetic edge wear. Includes intact spirit level vial and original knurled brass scriber stored in the base.
Center Head: V-head for locating stock centers. Smooth clamping action with thumbnut.
Reversible Protractor Head: Direct-reading degree scale with intact internal spirit level vial.
