Doze Green “Marker Mugsys” Original Sharpie Drawing (2021) – #24/200
Original one-of-a-kind marker drawing by legendary graffiti and street art pioneer Doze Green (a founding member of NYC’s Rock Steady Crew and the Soul Artists collective), created in 2021 as part of his limited “Marker Mugsys” series - 200 unique Sharpie portraits released directly through the artist’s own website. Low number in the series, #24 of 200 produced.
This piece features Doze’s signature angular, cubist-inflected portrait style: a stylized head rendered in bold black Sharpie linework, wearing a ball cap with the Playboy Bunny on the front, accented with his tag-hand style in the lower right, "1979". It's hand-signed in blue ink on the front, and hand-numbered and dated in pencil on the reverse, "24/200" and "2/2021" (created February, 2021).

About the Artist:
Doze Green (b. 1964, New York) is a pioneering figure of the 1970s Hip-Hop and graffiti movements and a member of the legendary Rock Steady Crew. He started as a subway-tagging graffiti artist who performed breakdance exhibitions at galleries in SoHo and the Lower East Side before transitioning from walls to canvas.  Over a decades-long career, Doze has exhibited internationally, received public art commissions, and developed a distinctive visual language combining calligraphy, cubism, and graphic design - figures he calls “biological entities,” which reflect on humanity, memory, and the passage of time. He’s counted among the top tier of graffiti-rooted contemporary artists alongside names like Futura, Daze, and Lady Pink.
The print will be rolled between two sheets of Kraft paper and packed securely in a heavy-duty cardboard tube, which will be contained within additional cardboard packaging for shipping.
The package will be shipped with insurance for the full purchase price, and will require signature for delivery.
